Adult Ministry--By The Book and Soul-y ConcernedAt Kernersville Church of Christ, we believe in being People of the Book. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." We promote both personal and group Bible Study to achieve this goal. We provide several opportunities weekly to meet to study God's word and encourage one another in our daily walks: Sunday School, Worship, Sunday Night, and Wednesday Night. The Sunday School hour provides adults with three classes to choose from: Young Adults, Leadership, and Faithful Workers. Sunday Morning Worship begins with a blended worship through song, prayer, and the Lord's Supper, which we partake in weekly as did the Early Church (Acts 20:7). All sermons are Biblically-based, and aimed to edify the Church. On Sunday Evenings, we provide a more relaxed atmosphere in which we study a series of lessons taken from Biblical books on a variety of topics, or the greatest book of all--the Bible. Wednesday Bible Study provides the congregation with an opportunity to study the Bible in-depth. We begin with a sharing of prayer needs and then continue an in-depth look at a passage of scripture. Questions and comments are welcome. We also believe that we should love one another as Christ loved us. (John 13:34). A big way we build this love is through Fellowship among Brothers and Sisters-in-Christ. Monthly opportunities are provided for the whole congregation to stay after evening worship to share refreshments and enjoy each other's company. Our congregation's Senior Saints group is very active, taking trips as a group monthly. A banquet is held annually to honor the senior members of our congregation. We have a Ladies Group which meets monthly and is devoted to being an active example of Christ's love to the women of the congregation, as well as those in need. We stock and maintain the Church's Food Pantry, sponser events such as self-defense classes, organize Love Projects such as making pillowcase dresses to send to needy girls in Africa, and have Bible Studies to address topics relevent to Christian Women. Come and be part of our family at Kernersville Church of Christ! For more information, please contact Larry Hatfield, Senior Minister.

Teen Ministry--Love, Serve, EncounterThe Teen/Student Ministry of the Kernersville Church of Christ seeks to be a powerful force for God by loving Him, serving others, and purposely encountering the Lost. All Teen lessons are designed to make them "thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:17)Teens meet to study God's Word during Sunday School, Sunday Night, and Wednesday Night services. They are encouraged to join the adults for Sunday Worship. For Wednesday Night Study, teens meet in the home of the Youth Minister to Study and Fellowship. Monthly activities are planned ranging from bowling to lock-ins. Here at KCC we realize the positive impact that Christian conferences and retreats can have on a person's spiritual life. We offer the following annual trips: the Carolina Christian Youth Convention, Spring Retreat and Beach Trip, and Fall Retreat. Teens show God's love through various service projects throughout the year. Many of our youth are also actively involved in various areas of service within the church, from the Praise Band to Nursery Workers.Exciting activities, deep friendships, and character building discipleship groups...this and more is what you can expect when you're a part of this Growing Ministry!

Children's Ministry — Growing Children in Christ The KCC Children's Ministry is committed to making Disciples of the next generation. We believe every child should "grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18). Our desire is to help children grow to love Jesus, to live like Jesus and to live for Jesus!Age-appropriate lessons, activities, and classroom areas are provided for every service, and staffed by caring adults. During the Sunday Morning Worship, children can worship and learn about God in Jr. Church. In Jr. Church, children of all ages meet to worship God through song and prayer. Children are instructed weekly of the importance of the Lord's Supper (Acts 20:7). They observe the adult and teen helpers taking communion, and children who are Christians are invited to participate. For lessons, we divide into Preschool (ages 2-5) and Elementary (K-6th grade). Every 5th Sunday the Elementary class joins the adults for worship, to give the family an opportunity to worship together, and also to make the transition out of Jr. Church easier for the children. Children are important people at Kernersville Church of Christ We recognize their need to be loved and nurtured in their faith. We know that visiting a new place may cause anxiety for some kids. With that in mind, we try our best to make every child feel right at home and welcomed from the moment they arrive. We strive to make attending church will be something they will look forward to each week. At KCC, your child will experience the genuine care that our teachers feel for their students. They will discover how much fun learning about God's word can be!

Kernersville Church of Christ is committed to the principles of our independent Christian background, as expressed by phrases like these:•Where the Bible speaks, we speak; where the Bible is silent, we are silent.•In essentials, unity; in opinions, liberty; and in all things, love.•No creed but Christ. We accept the the 66 books of the Bible as the sole authoritative source of information concerning the will of God manifested in the person, life and teaching of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we believe and teach:ABOUT GODGod is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.Genesis 1:1,26,27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14 ABOUT JESUS CHRISTJesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father.Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.Matthew 1:22,23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-3-; Hebrews 4:14, 15; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; Romans 1:3,4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13 ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRITThe Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with the power for living, understanding spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives all believers a spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18 ABOUT THE BIBLEThe Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.2 Timothy 1:13, 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20,21; Psalm 119: 105,160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5 ABOUT HUMAN BEINGSPeople are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”. This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life.Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1,2 ABOUT SALVATIONSalvation is God’s free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. 1. You must believe. Not just a "head faith" but a "heart faith" that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Romans 5:1, Hebrews 11:6, Ephesians 2:8, Romans 10:13, John 3:16.2. You must repent of your sins.Repentance is a "turning from sin" and involves both a sorrow for sin and a true desire to live nearer to Christ in the future. Acts17:30-31, II Peter 3:9 3. You must confess Christ. This is a public witnessing to the fact that you do believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Matthew 10:32-33, Romans 10:10, Matthew 16:13-174. You must be baptized (immersed) into Christ for the remission of your sins.Baptism is not just a religious ceremony but is an act of saving faith whereby the believing repentant, confessing sinner comes into contact with the blood of Christ. Acts 2:38,1 Peter 3:21, Galatians 3:27, Mark 16:16, Romans 6:3-55. You Must be faithful to Christ until death. Matthew 28:10-20, ! Corinthians 15:58, Revelation 2:10 ABOUT ETERNITYPeople were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally close to Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.John 3:16; John 2:25, 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; Matthew 1:8, 2:44, 46
